NDG Green & Growing: Urban Farming and Food Security

NDG Green & Growing is our food sustainability and urban agriculture program aimed at turning rooftops, backyards, vacant lots, and community spaces into flourishing gardens. At its heart is a deep belief: everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food—and everyone can be part of growing it.

This program will empower individuals, families, schools, and local organizations to grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs using eco-conscious, regenerative techniques. Expert guidance, seed kits, compost services, and tools will be provided, alongside workshops on permaculture, vertical gardening, composting, and seasonal planting cycles.

In partnership with local farmers, grocers, and restaurants, we will create a “zero food waste” ecosystem—where excess produce from community gardens feeds local food banks, soup kitchens, and those in need. School gardens will double as classrooms where children learn about the Earth, stewardship, and nutrition through hands-on experience.

Beyond food, this initiative is about reconnecting with nature and one another. Gardening becomes a spiritual practice, a mental health resource, and a catalyst for community bonding. Together, we will grow not only food—but joy, confidence, and collective strength.
