A Vision For This World by Ross Harvey
I have a vision for this world I call 'Heaven (on Earth).' It is of a time in the not-too-distant-future where we will have peace, love and equality for all. In this time there will be no form of money - not a cashless society as many are talking about, but a society bereft of any need for payment of any kind. You will be able to go into the grocery store, get your entire order and exit without paying. Same for all other stores. There will be one quality of product - the best! In everything! All 8 billion people on the planet will have access to everything that is produced by the simple fact that they are human and deserving of equal.
How do we get there from here? Baby steps.
What I am endeavouring to build in BuyNothing NDG is a 'gift economy' where we can educate and assist virtually every member of our society to find the unique 'gift' they have and to help them to find a way to give it freely to the members of the community - in the interest of growing in love and kindness. Across the world, the BuyNothing Project is active in 126,000 communities! As a second step, my goal is to help as many of these areas as is possible to implement everything we have accomplished in NDG - thereby making the world better and closer to my ideal.
Baby steps. I don't expect to change NDG and the world overnight. But significant, positive change will happen. Won't you join with me and help me to create the best community in the world in NDG?
